A Family-Owned Business
A Norwegian fishing company, Leinebris is a family-owned business that has been fishing since 1898. Thanks to their heritage as fifth generation fishermen, their first-hand knowledge means they can serve customers all around the world with premium longline fish.
Premium Fish
All year round Leinebris catch quality wild fish in the Northeast Atlantic, such as skin-on and PBI cod and haddock.
So, what makes it premium? It ultimately comes from the way the fish is caught and the way it is treated when it comes on the ship. By being line-caught, it ensures high quality and consistency. When Leinebris catch their fish by longline, they bring on board alive, one by one. After being caught, they prepare the fish, ready to be sold in under 3 hours. The fish preparation is done using the very best equipment, with the fish being frozen to -18 degrees. By freezing the fish so quickly, it ensures the fish is 'fresher than fresh'.
By using the Frozen-At-Sea method, it locks in the quality, freshness, and goodness of the fish, which delivers a premium taste, firm texture, and pure white appearance.

Sustainability Now and for the Future
Leinebris is MSC Certified, which means that they have been certified to the MSC Fisheries Standard – a set of requirements for sustainable fishing.
By being MSC Certified, Leinebris stands against overfishing and supports the environment through sustainable fishing, thereby minimising their impact on other species and the wider ecosystem.
In fact, Leinebris have set out to preserve fishing grounds and to encourage people to choose environmentally friendly seafood. This is especially important, given that wild caught seafood from Norway is the most sustainable and highest quality seafood there is!

New Lienebris in 2025
In line with their sustainability goals, Leinebris are launching the new Leinebris fishing vessel in 2025 to meet the sustainable development goals set by the United Nations by 2030.
The new Leinebris will be equipped with a large battery system and three generating sets for diesel-electric propulsion. The new Leinebris offers a chance for fishing that leaves the lowest carbon footprint and best catching efficiency.
