“GREAT GREENS”

FROM “THE REALLY GREEN PEA COMPANY”

Avoid difficult preparation of mushy peas at certain times of
the year, when they simply won’t mush!

We have the answer with GREAT GREENS from the REALLY
GREEN PEA COMPANY.

Harvested from non-genetically modified plants. To create
the plumper bigger, greener pea... select GREAT GREENS for
your menu!

How to create perfect peas...

1 Measure some Really Green Peas into a bucket and soak in
cold water until reformed into their natural pea shape.

2 At this stage you can add a steeping tablet or bicarbonate of soda
    – this will soften the pea skin and allow more water intake.

3 For best results, dissolve the steeping tablet or bicarbonate
of soda in hot water and then add to the peas in the cold
    water.

4 It is recommended an average of 9-12 hours will give you the best Available exclusively from
56 results for the steeping process. Please note: if you start to see a Friars Pride
layer of ‘scum’ develop on top of the steeping water, it will mean
you have over steeped the peas and you will need to start again.
It is vital you time accordingly at this stage of the process.

Drain and rinse the peas and add fresh water.

Bring the peas to boil and allow to simmer for approximately 30
minutes until cooked through... and season to taste.
