With deep origins in longliner fishing, the company managed one longliner, Tjaldur SH 270, and at its start had around 20 members of staff. At that time the catch was brought fresh to the Icelandic fishing markets and frozen for the foreign markets.
Today the company plays a significant part in the Icelandic fishing industry. It manages the freezer trawlers Brimnes RE 27, Gudmundur i Nesi RE 13 and Kleifaberg OF 2, and at present their significant quota is at six thousand metric tonnes of cod equivalents for a variety of species.
