National Fish and Chip Awards 2018 Roundup!

A fantastic 30th year of the National Fish & Chip Awards organised by Seafish, held at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London on Thursday 25th January, was once more hosted by Nigel Barden returning for a fourth successive year to do what he does best. Firstly, a huge thank you goes out to all of the 2017 winners who have carried the torch admirably for the industry this the past year, with a special mention for the 2017 Fish & Chip Shop of the Year Kingfisher Fish & Chips.
A further well done then has to go out to all that entered the 2018 Fish & Chip Awards, many fantastic shops all doing the industry extremely proud.
The winners of each award showing exceptional skill, work rate and character over a prolonged period to come out on top of their respective categories. Another special mention must go to the winner of the Outstanding Achievement Award, Mark Drummond, whose heartfelt speech celebrated the life of the late Briar Wilkinson, touching the emotions of all in attendance.

Taking the plaudits and crowned the National Fish & Chip Awards' Independent Fish & Chip Shop of the Year was Millers, Haxby.
A well deserved win by all accounts.
