This Sunday, 17th September, Friars Pride will be attending the Field to Frier Open Day, hosted by Chippy Chat Publishing Editor Austen Dack at the Isle of Ely Farm in Cambridgeshire.
The day will be extremely informative and will cover all aspects of the potato growing process, with presentations and a tour around the farm and potato grading line to learn about potato production and quality control.
On the day speakers include current National Fish and Chip Award Champions Craig Maw and Nikki Mutton from Kingfisher Fish and Chips, Young Fish Frier Of The Year George Papadamou of Papa’s Fish & Chips, Field to Frier Winners Tim and Kelly Barnes from Krispies Fish and Chips, plus a few PR surprises that Chippy Chat have organised too!
Representatives from Friars Pride will be in attendance to talk all things Fish & Chips with you as well as give out Goody Bags, which will include everything from the Friars Pride product guide to an invitation to the FRY I.T. exhibition in February!
In summary, the day is a fascinating insight into the journey of how we reach the end goal of the Great British Chip, served in our Fish & Chip Shops around the country, and its humble origins.
See you there!
