Huge congratulation to Poppies Fish and Chips Restaurant & Takeaway in London on scooping top national award!
The shop was crowned with the Marketing Innovation Award by awards host and voice of food and drink reason on BBC Radio 2, Nigel Barden, during a prestigious ceremony at the Lancaster London Hotel in London.
Sponsored by The Q Partnership, the award recognises fish and chip businesses that demonstrate excellence in their creative marketing strategy and use of effective promotional techniques.
Pat Newland, owner of Poppies Fish & Chips, said: “Here at Poppies we focus on all aspects of service to provide a complete dining experience for our customers. While our food and customer service is our top priority, every channel is immersed in our branding.
“We have especially designed newspaper and food boxes, which help reinforce our brand identity – customers even get their fish and chips served up in newspaper with edible ink! Our social media has also really helped us establish our brand and we now have over 8,000 followers engaging with us and posting about their Poppies experience”
But what made Poppies stand out from the crowd (which is not easy when you’re based in London) was the fact that they had branded London taxi that they use for deliveries and marketing purpose.
Mike Wallace, part of The Q Partnership Marketing Team, commented: “Marketing is a key technique to raising a shop’s profile, which can be utilised to communicate with customers, staff and media.
“With an effective and unique approach to their company marketing, Poppies Fish & Chips is a deserving winner and I wish them every success in the future.”
Well done to everyone at Poppies from Friars Pride !
