The new Paddington 2 themed childrens’ mealbox packaging, from KeCo, incorporates the latest augmented reality (AR) technology using the KeCo Karrot digital app, allowing the user to effectively overlay multimedia into the real world using their mobile device as the portal.
Using a mixture of AR images and QR Codes, this new feature will be an instant hit with customers as it allows for a more engaging and immersive user experience, lending itself to childrens’ packaging perfectly as it can create an instant link to things such as web pages, video streams, competitions and the surprise multimedia overlay, mentioned above. The new technology will not only wow the kids, but parents too, as it provides a real sense of magic and illusion not often found in food packaging.
The Karrot app is available from both the Apple App Store and Google Play.
